Two Truths and a Lie

You know what I love...I love a good ice breaker at PL sessions. (sarcastic font is enabled right?!)
Okay, seriously...I do love a great math opener. And one of my favorites from Daily Routines to Jump-Start Math Class (John J. Sangiovanni) is Two Truths and a Lie.
I love this routine because it's something students are familiar with, the multiple choice aspect makes it possible for everyone to give an answer (even if they have to guess), and you can use a variety of ways to check answers non verbally before students share out.
Also, you can really work on SMP.3 ---> Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others.
